FOXWELL VET COOMERA IS NOW OPEN!

Imaging
Medical imaging helps us at Foxwell Vet to look at what’s going on inside your pet without the need for surgery.

Using medical imaging techniques like X-rays (also known as radiographs) and ultrasound, we can examine bones and soft tissue to diagnose conditions like fractures, bone cancer, pneumonia and pregnancy.

Digital X-Rays

Our state of the art digital X-ray machine allows us to process and examine X-ray images of your pet quickly, aiding in diagnosing and treating a variety of conditions. Occasionally we will even utilise X-ray in order to determine levels of dental disease in your pet.
It is not unusual for sedation to be necessary for your pet in order to be X-rayed – but be assured that we will discuss the chances of this with you beforehand.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound scanning uses high frequency sound waves to generate images of internal structures. When the sound waves are pointed at the body, some of the waves are absorbed, and some bounce back. The ones that bounce back are measured by the machine and processed into an image for us to examine. It’s possible that your pet’s fur may obstruct the ultrasound scan, so do not be alarmed if your pet comes home with a shaved patch!
